Theology

Programs:

Sanctum offers both Masters and Doctoral level programs in Theology.

The primary focus of the Theology program is on the history, sociological role, and theology of witchcraft. This may be focused on a particular religion which the individual in question considers to exemplify their practice of witchcraft, but the default coursework provides a multi-cultural approach, and focused students will still be required to take the foundational multi-cultural coursework. It is primarily intended for those interested in the study of witchcraft, rather than those intending to take on a position of clergy within their community.

The Doctorate of Theology requires, in addition to the coursework required for a Masters of Theology, the creation of an original work of research. This work must be discussed with a faculty advisor and the topic and research plan must be approved in advance. However, it should be noted that original research by obtaining first person accounts from members of the community are preferred.

As there is no accrediting body for religious degrees pertaining to witchcraft in the United States, these degrees are unaccredited.
